EU Office Metropolitan Region Amsterdam
The Metropolitan Region Amsterdam EU Office represents 32 municipalities in the regions Noord-Holland and Flevoland as well as the Amsterdam Transport Authority (VervoerRegio Amsterdam). The EU office in Brussels serves as a bridge between the Metropolitan Region Amsterdam and Brussels.
The Metropolitan Region Amsterdam aims to co-create a resilient, sustainable and prosperous Europe. We share the ambitions to a be sustainable connected and inventive metropole, with great respect for the individual scale of our citizens. There is a great need to work together on current day challenges. The Metropolitan Region is the most robust economic region in the Netherlands and a strong competitor on the international playing field. We bring together local and regional authorities in the region and stand to support stronger and better cooperation between urban and rural areas. To strive for more resilient, greener and more equitable and better connected communities.
Our office is located in the heart of the European district in Brussels. We are therefore able to actively represent our Metropolitan region’s interests directly in Brussels. We concentrate our priorities in three themes.
